Show Notes:
– The band dedicated this show to Jessica Michalik, the girl who died at the 26.01.2001 Sydney show. Fred did a speech against Big Day Out promoter Ken West as well as an ode for Jessica before ‘My Way’ at the show while Wes and Sam jammed ‘Hold On’. Her father has been invited to watch the show from the side of the stage by Fred himself. When Fred ordered the backdrop with her name written to be unveiled, he made a shoutout to him.
– ‘Gold Cobra’ was on the setlist, but dropped during the show.
– This show didn’t have the instrumental piece followed after Introbra but started ‘Why Try’ instead.
– ‘Break Stuff’ wasn’t played for the first time ever since it had been added in 1999, likely due to the attendance of Jessica’s father.
